The Faraway is a dreamy shop of vintage pieces 20 years or older. We also offer a curated selection of books written by women. We post online vintage collections as well as having 500+ items inside our brick & mortar showroom in Chinatown.

Flat measurements are posted on every listing, we recommend comparing these numbers with a garment of your own to ensure a good fit.
Sizes listed on the tag will not be reliable as they are from an era of sizing past.
Each piece is vintage and has lived a whole life before arriving to you, we do many repairs in the showroom however imperfections are the joy of wearing vintage. Major flaws will be noted.

Where do you ship?
Worldwide. We dispatch within 1-2 days.
When will my order arrive?
Canada: 1-7 business days
USA: 4 - 10 business days
Worldwide: 6 - 12 business days
Local pick ups can come during business hours
Where are you located?
At the top of the stairs of 17 1/2 Fan Tan Alley in Chinatown, Victoria, BC. We are open every day 12-5 except Tuesday.
Is my item ready to wear?
Everything that passes through The Faraway studio is clean and ready to wear. Please ask or email hello@shopthefaraway.com for laundering advice.
Are items online also in the brick & mortar?
Everything you see online will be on the showroom floor after the online drop with some exclusions. We have 500+ items in store that are not listed online.
We do not hold items.
